Brainspotting Consultation for Therapists-in-Training

Our head therapist, Ethany Michaud, LCSW is a Certified Brainspotting Consultant, Ethany can provide individual consultation for therapists working toward certification or deepening their Brainspotting practice. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can grow your confidence, expand your skills, and integrate Brainspotting more fully into your clinical work.

Whether you're just beginning your journey or nearing certification, consultation offers a space to:

• Strengthen your understanding of Brainspotting theory and technique

• Deepen your attunement and presence in sessions

• Explore complex client presentations and case conceptualization

• Learn how to track activation and processing with more precision

• Reflect on your own growth and development as a Brainspotting practitioner

Steps to Brainspotting Certification

Becoming a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner involves the following:

1. Complete Brainspotting Phase 1 & Phase 2 Trainings
   These foundational trainings provide the core principles and techniques of Brainspotting.

2. Attend at least 6 hours of additional Brainspotting training
   This can include Phase 3, Phase 4, Master Classes, or specialty trainings.

3. Complete 50 documented Brainspotting sessions
   These sessions must be conducted with at least 10 different clients.

4. Receive 6 hours of consultation
   These hours must be completed with a Certified Brainspotting Consultant. At least 3 of the hours must be individual; the remaining may be group.

5. Submit your application and documentation
   Once all requirements are met, you’ll submit materials to Brainspotting Trainings, LLC for final approval and certification.
