FAQ

  • What should I expect during my intake appointment?

Knowing what to expect can be intimidating, especially if you’ve never been to therapy before! During your first session, you and your therapist will explore confidentiality laws and limits, and then go through your intake form together. By the end of your intake session, you should have some general goals for therapy established and an idea of what your treatment will look like moving forward.

  • Do you accept my insurance?

I am considered an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance companies directly. However, many clients are still able to use their out-of-network benefits to get partial reimbursement for sessions.

If you’d like to use your insurance, I can provide a monthly superbill (a receipt with all the necessary information) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Check out our “billing” page for more information on this!

  • What are your fees for treatment?

We charge a flat $150 per 50-minute session. Please check out our “billing” page to see more information about our fees and billing practices.

  • Is my information private?

Yes! We take your privacy very seriously. What you share in therapy is confidential — that means your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are protected and treated with great care and respect. Creating a safe, private space is essential for meaningful therapeutic work. Please review our “privacy” page for additional information on confidentiality and it’s limits!

  • Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, we do! You can schedule a 15-minute free consultation through the link at the top of this page that says “book now”. We use this time to explore your concerns and questions about therapy and to see if we would make a good fit. If it is decided that we need to refer out, a referral will be made.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We hold your session time just for you. To honor both of our time and commitment:

Same-day cancellations will be charged a $50 fee

No-shows (missed sessions without prior notice) will be charged the full session rate of $150

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid these fees.

  • Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes! We are able to see clients in-person at our office in NW Indianapolis or virtually for clients throughout Indiana, Ohio and Florida.

  • What clients do you work with?

At CCA Therapy, we welcome adult clients (18+) from all walks of life. We provide a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, identities, backgrounds, and life experiences — including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
